Are you interested in a rewarding career as an executive chauffeur?
A career as an executive chauffeur with ICS Kent gives you the opportunity to improve your skills, add to your qualifications and meet a variety of people from all walks of life.
We are always looking for promising new chauffeurs to join our friendly team. A position with ICS is very prestigious – since our chauffeurs are our primary point of contact with our clients, we only employ the very best.
Who is eligible to apply to ICS Kent?
There are no ground rules dictating who will and won’t make the grade – the men and women selected to become ICS chauffeurs do no necessarily come from this background.
You don’t need to already have in-depth knowledge of Heathrow or Gatwick Airports, Dover or Southampton Cruise Terminals; we will teach you everything you need to know.
All we ask is that you have a clean UK Driver’s Licence, no Criminal Record and you have good customer services and communications skills. For insurance purposes, all applicants must be over 30 years of age.
So what happens when I apply?
If you suit our application requirements, you will be asked for an initial interview where we will explain just what will be expected of you, the conditions of employment and what the job entails. You will of course have the opportunity to ask any questions you wish.
After the interview, a qualified driving instructor will conduct a driving assessment to ascertain your current level of driving skills.
Next, you will need to register with the local council. This includes a medical, criminal records check and a driving test with the Driving Standards Agency – this criteria is set by the council and has to be completed by all individuals in the industry.
On successful completion of this process, you will be offered a temporary position on a two month trial basis, including continuation training and familiarisation with the company’s policies and procedures. After this period, if both ICS and you are in agreement, we will offer you a part- or full-time position.
Will I achieve any further qualifications?
We believe that to be the best in our business, we have to continually invest not only in the infrastructure of our vehicles, pricing knowledge of locations, etc, but also in our drivers; after all you are the ambassadors of our company.
To this end, on completion of the two-month probationary period each of our drivers is put through the Institute of Advance Motorist course, at the company’s expense.
What do I do next?
If you feel you have the qualities to succeed in the Chauffeur Business, you have a clean UK driving licence, you are over 30 and you want to join the region’s leading chauffeur company then please forward your CV, with a covering letter, to enquiries@icskent.co.uk or call 0845 603 7830.
